On last Friday, Feb. 20th, I had the esteemed privilege to share in a life changing experience for the Boys of Amplify. We took our Young Male Artist to participate in performance with the renown Morehouse College Glee Club. This experience was extra special, me being an Alumna of Morehouse and member of the Glee Club.
The anticipation of this performance grew quickly stemming from productive rehearsals, learning “Git On Board, and our students meeting Dr. Morrow. Such an epic moment with my Former Director, Dr. David Morrow (present Director of the Glee Club) coming to rehearse with the AMPlify boys. As you can imagine this was completely nostalgic as I relived my experiences with the Glee Club watching this rehearsal. Our students quickly responded in a state of “Awe” at how sharp and engaged Dr. Morrow appeared. The classic Glee Club piece “Git On Board” was brought to life in such a special way with Dr. Morrows vivid imagery and storytelling and our young gentlemen giving their best in song.
As we arrived at Morehouse College (day of show) the energy and anticipation from parents and students was electric. I had so much excitement from simply conversing with the AMPlify boys as they asked every question imaginable of the history of Morehouse and the Glee Club. We walked into King Chapel with excellent decorum and every eye was captivated as the Glee Club took the stage during our joint rehearsal. That rehearsal only pumped us up even more for the upcoming performance. After we rehearsed, the anticipation grew as we watched AMPlify parents, family members and staff file into the auditorium to hear us perform. They all wished the young men good luck. At 8PM it was show time!
Finally, just before intermission, the AMPlify boys were called onstage! They joined the Glee Club and executed exceptionally well. I was and still am so very PROUD!!!!! Great applause and a standing ovation complimented the young gentlemen as they exited the stage. This moment was certainly one of the greatest highlights of my time working with AMPLIFY!
Everybody knows that Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has a fake butt, but apparently y’all are still digging for the truth.
I received the following email recently…

subject: kenya mooreCan you please do a post on kenya moores fake behind?
She was recently on wendy williams a month or so ago and wendy vouched that her butt and body was not enhanced.
I went and did a little digging and watched her old pageant vids readily available on youtube.
These screenshots are from her 1993 Miss USA, The 1993 Miss Universe, and the 1994 Miss USA pageant and there’s a big difference between then and now.

Singer Erykah Badu was amongst the many airport travelers stranded nationwide due to winter storms but she handled it all with a smile.
Badu (and her big azz hat) was on attempting to fly to L.A. from Dallas earlier this week when she was approached by CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reporter Steve Pickett, who was reporting live on all the cancellations at the airport.
[FLASHBACK: Outkast #ATLast Includes Surprise Performance by Erykah Badu (PHOTOS/VIDEO)]
When asked about her flight’s delay, and Erykah replied, “It’s hard out here for a pimp, you know?” with a totally straight face then proceeded to make funny faces as the reporter closed out the segment.

Academy Award-winning actress Mo’Nique hasn’t been seen or heard from since she was ‘allegedly’ blackballed from Hollywood but her interview with The Hollywood Reporter last week certainly got her name in the news.
[READ: Mo’Nique Claims Lee Daniels Confirmed Her Suspicions of Being Blackballed…]
Since Mo’Nique’s candid interview, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph has decided to put in her 2 cents on the matter, offering her opinion during an appearance on “Access Hollywood Live.”
“… there’s a whole lot of actors who are mean and terrible, but they work all the time,” Ralph said.
“It goes back to who likes you, who wants to be in your kind of crazy company. Who wants to give you money in hopes they’ll get something back on the return on your madness.
And sometimes you just need to shut up, sit there and look pretty.”
Ralph, who worked alongside the Mo’Nique on the ‘90s television sitcom Moesha, is convinced that a comeback is still possible but feels that Mo’Nique has some work to do before that happens… like lose more weight.

A good general indicator of the integrity and grit of a musician comes from watching their reaction to being called “weird.” It is a word that should be taken as the highest of compliments. Weird is what every artist should aspire to be — synonymous with and at the same time less tired than such terms as “progressive” or “innovative.” Mono Lisa’s Nick Lowery seems like he would totally dig being called weird; revel in it, bathe in it and let the connotations of the word cover him like a warm goo.…
