Wara From the NBHD drops 'If Guns Could Speak' EP




When Wara From the NBHD spoke to CL a couple weeks back, he was describing the theme behind his new EP, If Guns Could Speak. "Why do we care so much when a white person kills a black man but we don't do the same when we kill each other," he said. "We won't call the cops, we won't care, and we won't call the news."


The Brooklyn-born, Clarkston, Ga.-bred MC/producer got high praise for his debut Kidnapped (Playin Four Keeps), and willingness to realistically address topics — guns, drugs, and poverty — that are often glorified in today's machismo-heavy, "stop snitching" world of rap music.…
