Slugga: Parasites 7-inch B-side, "Shaved Heads" (Total Punk Records)
The B-side from Slugga’s forthcoming Parasites 7-inch is a cleaned-up, mastered recording of a song first heard on the band’s sold-out demo cassette. Slicker doesn’t mean less sick, fortunately, on the new version of “Shaved Heads.” With Mark Bonner’s sneering vocals at the forefront, this version is comparable to the Bobby Soxx, if they’d emerged from Texas after, instead of before, the last 30 years of outsider punk and hardcore.
