Blaxxx bring frenetic energy to the Mess-Around

Garage-punk supergroup Blaxxx was born out of boredom during SXSW in 2014, when Bim Thomas (Obnox, Bassholes, This Moment in Black History) met up with OBN IIIs' Orville Neely (bass) and Tom Triplett (guitar) for a just a few hours, piecing together the songs that became the aptly-titled E.P. For No Apparent Reason (12XU Records). The end result is blown-out garage jams, effectively blending the OBN IIIs’ guitar slinging with Thomas’ penchant for noisy, blues-inspired rock ’n’ roll.…
