As the Sept. 4 release date for Wake's first proper album, Strangers In A Strange Land, draws near, the group has unleashed "Bone Eater," one of the album's deep cuts, and a potent counterpart to the first offering, "We Are Kings Eternal."
"Bone Eater" takes shape as a slow-burning number bound by beats and effects-laden rhythms and rhymes. There isn't a single sample to be heard here, and rapper/DJ Obeah (Adam Venable) and rapper/producer Keith William switch off on the first and second verses — that's William's slow scream during the hook.…
