Doug Tuttle brings an impressive psych rock resume to town

Between his work with the defunct New England band MMOSS and his two mesmerizing solo albums, Somerville, Mass. singer-songwriter Doug Tuttle is quietly piling up one of the strongest résumés in modern psych rock. His new album It Calls On Me (out Feb. 19 via Trouble in Mind) drapes Tuttle's pleasant guitar jangle and airy melodies in a perfectly hazy '60s vibe.

Timeless but never outdated, this is psychedelic music at its most accessible.
