Video Rahim talks Biters’ ‘1975,’ strong female leads, and Tuk Smith’s acting chops
British rock magazine Kerrang!, last week, debuted the latest video from rock 'n' roll purists Biters. The video for Electric Blood cut “1975” pays an homage to '70s exploitation films, and was shot on the mean streets of Atlanta by director/producer duo Video Rahim and Ashley Simpson.
Beyond adding to their music video portfolio, Rahim and Simpson have stayed busy since November promoting Rebel Scum, a feature-length documentary film about Knoxville, Tenn. scum punks the Dirty Works.
Rahim chatted with Crib Notes recently about his cinematic influences, casting strong female leads, and Biters singer/guitarist Tuk Smith’s acting chops.
This isn’t the first video you have directed that borrows from classic movies (The Lost Boys, They Live, etc.).…
