Flaky Niece Fest II brings out rising talent for a cause
In 2015, rising post-punk songwriter Yancey Ballard launched the Flaky Niece Fest as both a showcase of young underground talent, and as tongue-in-cheek poke at the Shaky Knees Festival.
Tonight (Fri. May 13), Flaky Niece II takes over the Drunken Unicorn for a two-night stand with an assist from Irrelevant Music promoter Kyle Swick.
Swick sees Flaky Niece as an “opportunity to showcase Atlanta's vibrant and diverse local music scene, while keeping tickets affordable for people of all incomes.”
With a suggested donation of $10 at the door, it’s a budget -priced round-up with no shortage of new music to check out.…
