Shepherds tease live sound with 'I'm Too True'

Local indie rockers Shepherds' appearance tonight at 529 for A Drug Called Tradition’s ongoing Monday Medicine series doubles as the kickoff of a brief East Coast jaunt. To peak interest in the tour, singer and guitarist Jonathan Merenivitch gave Crib Notes first dibs on a live recording of “I’m Too True,” a cut from 2015 full-length Exit Youth. The track was recorded by Chunklet’s Henry Owings during Shepherds' May 11 set at 529. It's a raw take on the band's eclectic mix of smooth soul and caustic indie rock.
