Flight of the Concords bring belly laughs and groans to Chastain Park Amphitheatre


Flight of the Conchords, the New Zealand-based duo of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, use oddball charm, slapstick lyrics, and limited folk music chops to make laugh-out-loud pop ruminations. Songs such as “Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros” and “The Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room)” lay on the lyrical cheese with lyrics like “My rhymes are so potent that in this small segment I made all the ladies in the first two rows pregnant,” while they each strum along and sing with acoustic guitars and omnichords.…
