Patcraft Features Atlanta Music Project in “Transforming Performance” Campaign

Georgia-based flooring company Patcraft LLC debuted a video featuring the Atlanta Music Project as part of its Transforming Performance campaign in which it shares inspirational stories of performance.

Jeff West, Marketing Director at Patcraft shed light on the motivation behind the campaign: “By sharing diverse stories of performance in the world around us, we hope to inspire innovation and new ways of doing things. Through the lens of performance, we ask ourselves, ‘how can carpet transform space like what’s possible through public art;’ ‘how can we combine the concepts of road traction to designing a hard surface with improved slip resistance;’ ‘How can our products inspire social change?’”

From Patcraft:

By exploring the broad spectrum of what performance means to its customers and those that stand upon its products, Patcraft aims to encourage deeper conversation beyond how well a product will perform on the floor. As the leader in high-performing commercial flooring, Patcraft is collaborating with its customers to support human performance, including productivity, health and wellness.

Patcraft’s Transforming Performance campaign shares inspirational stories of performance—from a street artist to a music program with social impact, to high performance automobile racing.

ABOUT JEFF BRADSHAW
A North Philadelphia-born soul-jazz and hip-hop/funk innovator and trombone virtuoso, Jeff Bradshaw spent his formative years honing his chops alongside some of the biggest names both in and out of the Philly soul movement. By the time he got around to releasing his solo debut, 2004's critically acclaimed Bone Deep, he had shared the stage with such industry luminaries as Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti Labelle, Erykah Badu, and countless others. Bone Deep made him a festival circuit mainstay, and he spent the next eight years refining his signature smooth and immediate sound in both a solo setting and in support of artists like Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, the Roots, and Jill Scott. In 2012 he issued his sophomore long-player, Bone Appetit, which featured a host of guest artists, including Kindred the Family Soul, Raheem DeVaughn, Floacist, and Marsha Ambrosius.

Singer Shameia Crawford from ABC's Rising Star...Who Is She?

WHO IS SHAMEIA CRAWFORD?

Who is Shameia Crawford?  Some may simply classify her as a Soul or R&B artist but I believe the essence of her artistry is rooted much deeper.  Shameia first displayed her talents to her local church congregation and by the age of 5, knew that she wanted to be a singer.  By the age of 17, she released an independent album.  In addition, to such a great accomplishment at a young age, she continued her pursuit of a musical career at Winston-Salem StateUniversity, earning a degree in music.

shameia crawford musicLike the soul singers of the past, her music combines elements of Gospel, R&B, and Jazz, but what keeps her unclassifiable is her personal technique of impelling the hearts of audiences with her voice.  In 2014, she sang her way into the hearts of America on ABC’s Rising Star.

On the day that I spoke with Shameia about her music, I recall her personality being as warm as her vocals. Her smile illuminated the room and she was completely humble, yet confident, in her musical abilities.  Shortly into the conversation, I recognized her aspiration to capture the emotions of every audience that she stands in front of.  “I believe in my voice and I believe that I have something to offer that no one else does”, says Shameia.  Indeed, she has a special gift and it is considerably identifiable whether she is singing background vocals for legendary soul artists like Angie Stone, accompanying gospel singers like Vashawn Mitchell, or performing her original music.

Who is ShameiaCrawford?  That’s not as easy to answer as one may think.  She’s not the simple answer but she is truly the correct answer.  I believe that she possesses more than just an impressive sound.  She is the determination of a sovereign sound, designed to free the soul of music.
