My Fault by Leaf Newman

Some of you really faithful When We Speak TV supporters may remember that our very first interview was with Leaf Newman, formerly of BET singing competition, Welcome To Dreamland.  Do you remember that show?  Basically, the show paired up singers into two teams and each team had a music producer (Drumma Boy and Jazze Pha).  From there the best girl on each team would compete to become the Queen of Dreamland.....
....Leaf was on Drumma Boy's team and won the competition in the end.

FAST FORWARD
After much anticipation, Leaf has finally released her Flowers and Grass independently and When We Speak TV was in the building for the album release, held in a beautiful loft in Atlanta.  The event was so nice and the Leaf's fashion totally represented the Leaf Newman that we know and love.

A wonderfully eclectic blend of jazz, rock, pop and r&b floating on honey vocals and life healing lyrics. With contributions from Andrew DeBarge (El DeBarge’s Nephew), Ryan Waters (Sade’s lead guitarist) and versatile producer Jabari Thomas Taylor, “Flowers and Grass,” is MUSIC YOU CAN BREATHE

Here's just a snippet of Leaf's song, My Fault, off the album.  Be sure to purchase online at:

Three ways to AMP up social change on Georgia Gives Day

gacnp_cmyk_logo_2016_990Do you celebrate #GeorgiaGivesDay yet? This state-wide online day of giving celebrates organizations in Georgia doing good work and making positive change. Simply visit the Georgia Gives Day website, search for a cause or organization that you believe in and support that organization with a donation!

Here are three great reasons to start participating #GeorgiaGivesDay this year:

  1. Guarantee good karma for the holiday season. There are a thousand ways to spend your money around the holidays, but now is the time to give back and make an investment in your community. Kick off the season of giving by making a gift to a local organization that you know will use the funds for good. You’ll be on the fast-track to the Nice List in no time!
  2. Donate local. Have a hand in creating positive social change in Georgia by supporting your local change-makers. Since 2012, Georgia Gives Day has activated more than 54,000 donors, who have given upwards of $9 million to support more than 2,400 organizations across the state. Be a part of the movement!
  3. Start a family tradition. Why not get the whole family involved? Have your kids help you search the Georgia Gives Day website for a cause that you can all feel connected to or make a special gift in honor of a loved one. Browse hundreds of worthy causes and find one (or more!) that speak to you and your family’s interests and passions. What a great way to teach others about the real spirit of the holiday!

After giving to a nonprofit through the Georgia Gives Day website, celebrate your generosity! Claim your “I Gave!” social badge and change your profile picture to encourage friends and family to do the same!

Thanks for your support of social change in Georgia and happy holidays!
