Sea Ghost rolls out giddy, melancholy debut, 'SG'


In anticipation of this Saturday's CD/cassette release party, Sea Ghost has rolled out its debut full-length, SG, a few days ahead of schedule.

Singer and keyboard player Carter Sutherland, guitarist Brandon Chester, drummer Jonathan Morningstar, and bass player Jay Harris have captured nine deceptively lush pop numbers that are teeming with giddiness and melancholy tones, and steeped in reverb. Sutherland insists that the album's title is not the band's initials.…
