The first two dates of Billy Idol’s North American tour, including Thursday at The Tabernacle, have been postponed.
Idol is reportedly suffering from a chest infection and has been ordered by doctors to continue to rest before hitting the road.
The tour will begin on Saturday in Upper Darby, Pa. His other postponed date is Wednesday in New Orleans.
Those with tickets to the Tabernacle performance are encouraged to hold on to them until a new date is announced. Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new date; however refunds are also available at point of purchase.
Idol said in a statement, “I’m really disappointed to be missing everyone this week in the Big Easy and Atlanta. I was excited for these gigs but want to make sure I can give you the full on Idol rock show you deserve. Thank you for understanding while I get over this bug. We’ll be back later this year!”
