Bands and barflies alike won’t have to empty out of Smith’s Olde Bar anytime soon. According to 11 Alive, Smith’s is in the midst of ironing out a lease with the building’s new owner to keep the iconic bar in its home at the corner of Monroe Drive and Piedmont Avenue.
Senior VP of Selig Enterprises Jo Ann Chitty confirmed with 11Alive that Selig, who owns Ansley Mall and Ansley Two, purchased Morningside Strip Center, the retail strip containing the bar, for $3 million.…
